Tom’s arrangements are a blend of Americana, Blues, and Jazz and are shaped by his captivating vocals and melodic finger-picking.

Museum of the Big Bend’s 4th annual Heritage Dinner will be held at the Gage Hotel Ritchey Building Friday evening. On Saturday, the Museum of the Big Bend will showcase their fall exhibits, remaining on display through December 17. Click here for more information.

Come and join us for one of Marathon’s most popular events, the West Fest Cabrito Cook-off and Dance! A day full of cooking and activities for the whole family with entrance by donation to the Marathon Volunteer Fire Department. Dance to follow the awards with live music from the famous Tessy Lou and the Shotgun Stars. Cooking competitors can get entry forms at the front desk.

Larry was raised in Palestine, TX and steeped in the sounds surrounding him, his cousin’s bluegrass band, a well-stocked family record collection, and the rich songwriting legacy that all Texans inherit.

Marathon 2 Marathon

For a few hours in a little town in the middle of far west Texas, almost 500 racers bring everything they have to a race called the M2M. Dry, cool, high desert climate, gradual downhill, spectacular scenery, low traffic and a downhill to the finish line where you can really pour it on! The M2M is a USATF Boston Marathon qualifying race. Races include a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. Early registration is open until September 30. Prices go up starting October 1.

He is a veteran of the Austin music scene, who began performing as a solo artist in 2012, releasing his first solo album “A Barrel of Monkeys”, in 2014. His music is steeped in the Texas songwriting tradition.
